Seat a booking in ResDiary and a corresponding check opens—or attaches—on the mapped table in Square. Hosts stay in ResDiary; servers stay in Square. No duplicated effort, fewer mistakes in busy services.

Live spend and course tracking
As items are added in Square, running spend appears in ResDiary. If you use coursing, ResDiary shows progression (drinks, starters, mains, desserts) to help time fire-ups and manage table turns smoothly.

Check closure sync
Closing or paying a check in Square automatically marks the reservation Closed in ResDiary with the final total—so diaries, reports and day-end all line up without manual updates.

Deposits mapped to bills
Deposits taken in ResDiary sync to Square and can be redeemed on the guest’s check. This reduces reconciliation friction and gives teams clarity on what’s been pre-paid.

Walk-ins and table moves
Create a walk-in in ResDiary and the matching check opens in Square. Move a check in Square and the booking follows to the new table in ResDiary (Square → ResDiary direction currently supported).

Use a configurable ±5-minute buffer so early/late arrivals still match the right check. Keep back-office or bar areas “unmapped” if you don’t want them to sync.
